A beautiful pink coral with large individual polyps. Tentacles are studded with wart-like nematocysts. Sporadically available in shell collections along with Occulina corals.

HABITAT

They can be found from South Carolina to Florida to the Gulf of Mexico. They are a ahermatypic (non-reef building species) coral which means that they do not form coral reefs (Smithsonian, 2012)
