One of the smallest chitons belonging to the class Amphineura, and yet one of the most hardy. They affix themselves to rocks or shells. When detached they will slowly curl into a ball. Specimens vary in color from reddish brown to gray, white, and yellow. They are shipped attached to dredged shells and will remain on the shells until all of the algae on the shells is consumed. Size: 1-2 cm.
