Shipping Schedule
We ship live specimens Monday through Thursday only to avoid weekend transit delays.
We do not ship on or for delivery on:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- The week between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
Carrier & Service Levels
All live marine specimens are shipped via Federal Express using one of the following services:
- Priority Overnight
- Second Day AM (used only when appropriate for the species ordered)
Customers must provide a complete delivery address, including:
- Street address
- ZIP code
- Contact phone number
- Email address
Transportation Charges
Transportation charges are prepaid and added to the invoice.
Handling Charges
A handling fee of 18% of the animal cost is applied to cover specialized packing, preparation, and coordination required for live shipment.
Packaging Costs
Styrofoam containers and/or custom-built insulated shipping containers are billed separately as required for the safe transport of specimens.
Delivery Coordination
Customers must ensure that the recipient is available to receive the shipment immediately upon delivery to minimize stress to the live specimen
